Stupid Mistakes

Many of the PC-users when they install a software they really don’t read the license agreement or when they register in a forum very few read the user agreement .

Well I discovered a few days ago that the agreements must be read and you must understand them really good because you are signing them on your own responsibility.

So what did happen to me , at Top Coder I registered for a tournament TCCC07 that is dedicated for the university students and I am not one of them , I still have one more year to go in high school. So when I registered to this tournament I had to answer this question “Are you currently or will you be a full time college/university student at any time between July 23, 2007 and November 3, 2007?” and I said Yes because I thought that college is the same thing with high school , dumb me … And another thing that made me believe that I can participate was that I saw somewhere that it said you have to be at least 18 and a college student … so I said I am 18 , no problem . Because of this I’ve got my account deactivated … But I managed to explain why I made these naive mistakes and my account is now active and well and I was really lucky to have it back with no restrictions .

This thing really scared me because I really worked for that account and I don’t want to lose it.

Well in the future I am sure that I won’t do again such dumb mistakes , and if I would do them again than I would lose for sure my account .

IOI 2007

The 19th International Olympiad in Informatics has ended. This time it was held in Zagreb, Croatia. Congratulations to our Romanian team which has managed to obtain four silver medals and of course for the other competitors. The Chinese team won an astonishing four gold medals.Here you can find the complete results.

In case you didn’t know , The International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) is an annual informatics competition for secondary school students. The first IOI was held in Bulgaria , 1989. You can find more information about IOI in this wiki, and here is a post about the importance of IOI.
